Responsibilities

• Perform structural modeling, design, and oversight for bridge and other transportation infrastructure projects
• Prepare construction documents, including plans, specifications, estimates, and calculation packages
• Provide technical support to structural engineering staff
• Conduct quality assurance reviews of project construction documents, engineering reports, etc.
• Assist in preparing qualification packages, proposals, and / or contracts involving technical approach, costs, and scheduling
• Provide project management support
• Lead structural inspections / evaluations and associated load capacity ratings
• Review fabrication drawings and provide construction plan reviews
• Assist project managers with coordination between various groups working on structural projects (e.g., highway, pedestrian, and railroad bridges; commuter rail stations; marine structures; energy projects; retaining walls)
• Participate in the proposal process, determining client requirements and developing plans, specifications, quantities of materials, construction cost estimates, reports, final bid packages, and related documents. Prepare technical reports and sections of proposals and / or contracts

Minimum Qualifications :

The base salary range for this position is $95,000 - $140,000 for the Washington, DC location. This offer is determined based on a number of job-related factors including internal comparators, skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities and geographic location.
