Civil Engineer
The Civil Engineer position at the City of Tucson's Water Department reviews plans for developer-built extensions of the City of Tucson's water distribution system in the New Area Development section within the Planning and Engineering Division. The Civil Engineer position conducts hydraulic analyses, enforces Tucson Water's Design Standards and Remote Meter Policy, provides technical and procedural support to others. Work is performed under the supervision of the Engineering Manager. This position may exercise supervision over division personnel.

Minimum Qualifications
Education : Bachelor's Degree
Work Experience : Two (2) years of directly related experience
License : Professional Engineer (PE) License - Arizona Board of Technical Registration (ABTR)
Preferred Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline. Two years or more engineering experience in water system design for potable / reclaimed transmission and distribution water mains. Two years or more experience in the hydraulic modeling of water distribution systems. One year or more experience in water distribution system construction. Two years or more supervisory experience. Course work in surveying and construction methods / technology.
