Senior Financial Investigator

- Planning and conducting investigations
- Performing quantitative, qualitative, or other analysis of relevant facts
- Preparing results to support the mission
- Developing and analyzing evidence from other investigators and law enforcement officers
- Gathering and analyzing facts including statements, timelines, scientific, or technical data
- Establishing and / or verifying relationships among all facts and evidence obtained or presented
- Providing analysis relevant to violations of federal law
- Conducting asset investigations, verifying employment, and conducting financial analysis
- Developing understanding of applicable federal, state, or local law to the extent necessary to make sound decisions
- Devising methods for obtaining, preserving, and presenting evidence
- Working with the assigned Paralegals or Legal Assistants, and supervisory attorneys to determine applicable statutory and regulatory law
- Using electronic databases to identify assets, documents, and other physical evidence
- Preparing interim and final reports on the progress of investigations
- Assisting in the compilation and analysis of documents and physical evidence
- Preparing affidavits and testifying in court as required
- Examining books, ledgers, payroll records, cost reports, billing statements, invoices, correspondence, computer data, and other records pertaining to the transactions, events, or allegations under investigation
Qualifications :
Minimum of four years experience in planning and conducting civil or criminal complex investigations concerning misuse of public, private, or insurance fundsWorking knowledge of current investigative techniques including the use of commercial databases and other sources of informationMust have a valid driver's licenseU.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain adjudication for the requisite background investigationIdeally, you will also have :
