Distribution Center Housekeeping Associate

The Distribution Center Housekeeping Associate performs deep cleaning activities for the building, cafeteria, and grounds to maintain sanitization standards. Safe operation in accordance with company policies is of prime importance. Position requirements include no written warnings or documented performance issues in the last six months, excellent attendance, the ability to lift up to 70 lbs. repetitively, and having or being able to obtain Lift Operator certification. Additionally, forklift and picker certifications are required.

Essential functions include complying with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the company and regulatory authorities. The associate performs routine and non-routine cleaning duties throughout the building to include all surfaces inside and outside of the distribution center. This includes the removal of trash, cardboard, debris, and pallets, as well as notifying managers concerning the need for minor or major repairs to the building and / or equipment. The associate must follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. They must be willing to move cabinet, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment to clean areas, either manually or by using hand trucks. Additionally, they requisition and replenish supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and sanitization duties, operate floor scrubbing equipment, cardboard baler, and maintain all stations containing janitorial equipment.
