About the role

The Blast Freezer Operator is responsible for supporting both production and warehouse operations, with a primary focus on safely handling products in the blast freezer environment. This role begins each day by assisting with offloading finished goods from the prior day, then transitions to supporting pre-op tasks such as labeling and staging materials. During production, the operator loads cases from conveyor belts into blast freezer racks, maintaining order of production and ensuring product quality.

This position requires working in extreme cold temperatures (-20F to -32F) for extended periods while maintaining strict adherence to food safety, GMP, and safety protocols. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and adaptable, thriving in a physically demanding, team-oriented environment.

What you'll do

• Offloading & Transfers : Assist with offloading finished goods (4 : 00 AM – 5 : 30 AM), palletizing, wrapping, and recording counts before transfer to warehouse staff.
• Pre-Operation Support : Assist production crew with pre-op tasks including labeling boxes, staging packaging materials, and assembling equipment as needed.
• Blast Freezer Operations : Load cases / units from conveyor belts into blast freezer racks in production order. Maintain rack organization for FIFO and product traceability.
• Safety & Compliance : Follow GMPs, food safety protocols, and PPE requirements while working in extreme cold.
• Cross-Support : Perform other duties as assigned to support production and warehouse operations.

The pay range for this role is :

18.50 - 19.50 USD per hour(Railroad)
