Position : Strong Readers Act Tutors - Classified (2 openings)

Reports to : Site / Building Principal and Reading Specialist / Literacy Coach

Supervises : None

Qualifications :

• High School Diploma
• Satisfy all district requirements with regard to physical health and citizenship.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Position Goal : To provide intensive remediation in reading to students on Academic Progress Plans.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities :

Employment Terms : Temporary Classified Contract; as needed not to exceed 15 hours per week

FLSA Qualification : Non-exempt

Visual Requirements : Close color peripheral depth perception ability to adjust focus.

Hearing / Speaking Requirements : Adequate to exchange information.
