A highly regarded healthcare facility in Florida is seeking a dedicated Medical Technologist I to join its Blood Bank team on the night shift. This role is ideal for experienced technologists or recent graduates looking to grow within a supportive and highly specialized laboratory setting.
As a valued member of the transfusion services team, you'll be responsible for performing complex testing and supporting physicians in critical, life-saving therapies including organ and bone marrow transplants, coagulopathy management, and compatibility investigations.
What You'll Do :
- Perform blood group antigen testing, crossmatching, and antibody identification
- Investigate transfusion reactions, hemolytic anemias, and hemolytic disease of the newborn
- Support transplant compatibility testing for progenitor cells, bone marrow, and organs
- Prepare and issue blood components with full documentation
- Maintain accurate quality control records and perform preventive equipment maintenance
- Utilize laboratory systems for data entry and result tracking
- Collaborate closely with clinical teams to ensure timely and safe patient care

Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or related field (required)Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist license in Immunohematology (or eligibility)ASCP certification (MT or MLS) requiredAt least 1 year of clinical laboratory experience or completion of a NAACLS-accredited program
