Senior Structural Engineer role at WSP in the U.S. – Portland, Maine or Boston, MA.

Join a growing structural engineering practice within our Architectural Engineering (A / E) team. The ideal candidate will be energetic, have excellent communication skills, and possess well‑rounded technical structural engineering experience, with strong leadership and mentorship abilities and a track record of leading structural designs as Structural Engineer of Record on multi‑disciplinary projects.

Your Impact

• Communicate with clients to understand project requirements.
• Lead a team of engineers and designers on structural engineering and design activities from concept through construction documents for multi‑discipline design projects.
• Analyze new and existing structures per required codes.
• Develop calculation packages as required.
• Perform existing structure assessments to evaluate capacity and ability to resist new loading requirements; produce technical reports with sound recommendations.
• Develop structural models to solve engineering problems based on sound engineering principles.
• Contribute to new business development and growth of WSP’s A / E delivery team.
• Coach and mentor Junior Engineers and Designers.
• Work collaboratively in a multi‑disciplinary team environment.
• Adhere to project delivery standards, including self‑checking work prior to quality control reviews, to ensure high quality of work is consistently delivered.
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision‑making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies.

Compensation : Expected Salary (all locations) : $115,100 – $205,040
