Job Description

Senior / Principal Scientist – Antibody Engineering & Characterization

Location : Onsite | Branford, CT | Full-Time

Join a company where your science will directly shape the future of cancer immunotherapy.

Who We Are

EvolveImmune Therapeutics is a privately-held, next-generation immuno-oncology company pioneering a new class of T cell engager therapies to transform cancer patient outcomes compared to current immunotherapies. Our first-in-category biotherapeutic EVOLVE platform utilizes integrated T cell costimulation to directly target tumor cells to deliver durable anti-tumor adaptive immune responses. Our lead asset, EVOLVE104, is anticipated to enter clinical trials in mid-2025. Additional collaboration pipeline programs (with Abbvie) and wholly owned programs are progressing toward candidate nomination. EvolveImmune’s team consists of over 45 FTEs in R&D, business development and operations with immediate plans for additional growth. Our newly expanded, state-of-the-art 20,000+ square foot laboratory and office space located in the New Haven, CT biotechnology corridor is convenient to the amenities of the Connecticut shoreline, the city of New Haven and easy travel options throughout the Boston / New York City corridor.

We're hiring a Senior or Principal Scientist to join our Biotherapeutics team collaborative group focused on designing and advancing first-in-class immune-engaging biologics. • Improve key attributes like affinity, stability, specificity, and PK using modern tools and data
  • Drive developability assessments with platforms like SPR, BLI, DSC, DLS, ciEF, and LC-MS
  • Collaborate across functional teams to support candidate selection and preclinical development
  • Develop and refine functional assays for biologic characterization
  • Present findings in a clear, compelling way to multidisciplinary teams
  • Mentor junior scientists (if interested) and help shape our growing discovery organization

What You Bring

  • PhD in Biochemistry or a related field and 5+ years of industry experience (or)
  • MS with 10+ years in antibody engineering roles

  • Expertise in protein design, expression, purification, and biophysical characterization
  • Deep experience with bispecific or multispecific formats and familiarity with T cell engagers
  • Working knowledge of structure–activity relationships and / or molecular modeling is a plus
  • Experience with mammalian expression systems (e.g., CHO / HEK), cell-based assays, or phage / yeast display is valuable
  • Strong communication, data interpretation, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • What You’ll Gain

  • A hands-on, high-impact role shaping the design of next-generation immunotherapies
  • Opportunity to see your work move rapidly from concept to clinic
