Pipeline Operator

The Shell Pipeline Sorrento Underground Storage Facility supports the Shell Norco Refinery and Chemical Plant and the Shell Geismar Chemical Plant as well as other industry partners through the storage of various LPG products in storage underground salt cavern and the facilitation of product movements on multiple regional pipeline systems. As a Pipeline Operator, you will be responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the Storage facility and Pipeline assets in Louisiana Onshore. Activities include but are not limited to monitoring system pressures and flows, making and validating valve line ups, and equipment surveillance using the facilities' control room board and physical observation. You must be committed to operational excellence, display sound judgment, and possess the ability to react quickly and effectively to abnormal operating conditions.

Availability for after-hours calls and response on an as needed basis

Maintain facility logs and documentation (Environmental and Operations Station checks)

Proper and proficient use of the Permit to Work process

Attend and actively participate in safety meetings

Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than the current employer

Must be at least 18 years of age

Minimum of High School or equivalent is required

Operations background in any related field is highly considered

The rate for this position is $45.37 - $47.85. Individual pay will be based on various factors, such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skill level, and internal equity. For regular full-time or regular part-time employees of the Company (participating companies as listed in the Summary Plan Description), insurance coverage options include medical, dental, vision coverage, life Insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs. Employees also participate in a company pension plan and a 401(k) plan. Paid leave includes up to 6 weeks of paid vacation time, up to 11 paid holidays, and parental leave offering 16 weeks of paid leave for birthing parents, and 8 weeks of paid leave for non-birthing parents. Additionally, employees are eligible for short-term disability leave for up to 26 weeks at 100% or 50% of base pay as well as Long-Term Disability insurance. Shell also offers other compensation such financial reimbursement for adoption, wellness, education, and personal learning expenses, and some roles are eligible for discretionary long-term incentives. For interns, eligible benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs; participation in a 401(k) plan; and paid leave for up to 11 paid holidays.
