Job Title : Surgical Clinical Specialist
Shift : Day 4x10-Hour (06 : 15 - 16 : 15)
Job Summary :
We are seeking a dedicated Surgical Clinical Specialist with a minimum of 1.5 years of experience to join our team. This position requires expertise in adult to geriatric care, particularly in CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) and trauma work settings. The ideal candidate will have experience with cardiac and vascular surgery cases alongside a robust understanding of various surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities :
Assist and support surgical procedures across multiple specialties, including Vascular, General, Neurosurgery, Orthopedic, Urology, EENT, OB / GYN, Plastics, OMF, Trauma, Dental, Pediatric, Neonatal, and Endoscopy.Adhere to fire safety regulations and maintain aseptic technique throughout all surgical settings.Follow strict protocols for laser safety, sharps safety, specimen handling, and sterilization / disinfection.Execute the Universal Protocol, ensuring that time-out procedures are conducted prior to any surgical interventions.Provide on-call support two days a week and every third weekend, with opportunities to float as necessary between the Main OR and Vascular OR.Qualifications :
Experience : Minimum of 1.5 years working in a surgical environment, with trauma Level II experience required. Preference for those with community hospital experience and exposure to endo / laparoscopic surgeries, ENT, General, Gyn, Neuro, Ortho, Plastics, and Urology cases.Certifications : Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and certification from NBSTSA or NCCT are mandatory. Additional certifications in relevant surgical specialties are a plus.Familiarity with Epic charting system is preferred.Skills :
Comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience in procedures such as abdominal surgery, coronary artery bypass grafts, craniotomies, organ donation, minimally invasive surgeries, and trauma management.Strong ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced surgical environment while maintaining a high standard of care.Unit & Equipment Details :
Work within a multi-specialty surgical unit equipped for inpatient, outpatient, and emergent surgical procedures.Utilize medication systems like EPIC and Pyxis for documentation and communication.Additional Information :
Candidates are expected to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals based on skill set and census needs.Orientation will include 40 hours of training.At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses! We offer :
