Definition of Classification :
The Systems and Operations Specialist will assist with set-up, training, troubleshooting, and reporting for Ellucian Colleague and related information systems for functional Student Financial Service areas.
Reporting to the Operations Support Director, this position provides technology and administrative support and leadership to Student Financial Services personnel.
Duties and Responsibilities :
The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :
- Processes, maintains, and reconciles electronic transmission of data between Ellucian Colleague and all external
- Reconciles federal and state funding including Federal Direct Loans, Pell Grant, Teach Grant, Cal Grant, and Private
- Imports, exports, and processes FAFSAs and all other loan and loan-related transmissions.
- Assists with collection, analysis, and preparation of data for internal and external reporting using current ERP system, Business Objects Web Intelligence, Microsoft Excel and other reporting and analytic
- Coordinates edits and prepares data reports, presentations, forms, and other documents.
- Ensures quality of daily, weekly, and monthly
- Assists Operations Support Director with technical set-up including training, testing, implementation, and troubleshooting for all
- Manages system set up, maintenance and improvement for billing, payment, and financial aid
- Coordinates maintenance and testing of software releases related to Ellucian Colleague with Information Technology
- Works closely with Student Financial Services staff to implement changes, streamline processes, prioritize technological needs, and manage department
- Acts as department expert for Microsoft Office
- Composes and sends all Electronic Notifications, including electronic Title IV Disbursement Notifications to students and parents, and outstanding requirements communications to all
- Maintains department confidence and safeguards operations by keeping information confidential.

High school diploma or equivalent supplemented with two years of additional college- level coursework or specialized training in a related field.Three years of related experience in a similarPreferred

Working Conditions :
Standard office and field setting. Duties performed are primarily in an office environment while sitting at a desk or computer workstation or in meetings. At least minimal environmental controls to assure health and comfort.
