Posting Summary Functional Position Title PROGRAM MANAGER Position Number Appointment Type Regular Location-City New Orleans School / Division SCHOOL OF PUBLIC HEALTH Department Epidemiology and Pop Health Position Summary Under the direction of the Colorectal Project Principal Investigator, the incumbent in this position will be responsible for a statewide cancer program : the Centers for Disease Control’s National Colorectal Cancer Control Program, known as the Screen Up program. Screen Up’s goal is to increase colorectal cancer (CRC) screening rates to the national goal of 80%, improve the quality of CRC early detection, and eliminate health inequities in the state. The project’s main focus is the implementation of evidence-based interventions in health systems, including patient and provider reminders, professional education, structural and environmental changes, assessment and feedback, practice facilitation, and patient navigation. The incumbent is responsible for managing all program components : program management, evidence-based interventions and strategies, collaborations and partnerships, data management, evaluation, and quality improvement in accordance with CDC guidance.The incumbent will assist with oversight of all program operations, oversight of grant funding received by Screen Up, lead / participate in grant applications, develop and maintain collaborations within LSUHSC and across the state. Incumbent will assist the PI in all program components as defined by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) : management, clinical and support services, tracking and follow-up, quality assurance, partnerships and coalitions, professional education, recruitment (public education and outreach), surveillance and evaluation.
