Description : Essential Functions
Collate information needed by the physician while rounding on patients.
Assists Mid-level providers and physicians with rounds. Assists nursing personnel with orders.
Collects physician’s daily charges for each procedure and visit. Proficient with the hospital billing process; work closely with coders and supervisors at WC.
Correlates physician's schedule modifies and communicates schedule and changes to appropriate medical and clinical staff.
Will accompany physician to the WC office after rounds. Function as a rooming nurse, as well as, support office staff to enhance patient care and workflow
Weekend call coverage as needed.
May serve as a scribe as needed.
Maintains current with education requirements needed to maintain position at WC and hospital
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Position requires a great deal of walking, standing, moving and manipulating equipment, as well as lifting and moving objects, equipment and supplies.
It is reasonable to anticipate lifting 20-25 pounds in any given day. Lifting up to 30 pounds may occasionally be required, depending on the specific style or type of care provided and must be able to push / pull a patient sitting in a wheelchair.
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about the inside from the Care Team station to the exam rooms to interact with patients and stock supplies.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as nebulizer, fax machine, copier and computer printer. Able administer intradermal, subcutaneous, and intramuscular injections.
The person in this position frequently communicates with Clinic staff, such as providers, patients, call center representatives, receptionists, Patient Financial Services, Managed Care, specialty pharmacies, etc . Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
May be exposed to live vaccines, blood-borne pathogens, and bio-hazardous materials.
Must be able to appropriately assist with procedures.

Requirements :
Required Education and Experience
Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing and hold an active Florida state license. Sound knowledge in the standard of care of cardiac patients.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
CPR certification.
