Title : Telecom Construction Manager
Location : Waltham, MA 02451 (will be traveling in New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine areas)
Duration : 18+ months Contract with possible extension
Job Summary
The Field Performance Advisor (FPA) is responsible for driving optimal performance and continuous improvement among suppliers by conducting regular site visits, consulting directly with suppliers, and ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance with Ericsson standards. The FPA works closely with internal teams and external partners to identify, implement, and standardize best practices across markets.
Key Responsibilities
Review and analyze site performance metrics, including :
- Cycle time
- Close Out Package (COP) first-time-right rate
- Job Hazard Assessment (JHA) compliance
- Ericsson tool utilization
- Build quality and customer-specific requirements
- Identify supplier performance gaps and provide actionable feedback to the Territory Director and suppliers.
- Partner with suppliers to correct, adapt, and respond to performance feedback.
- Conduct on-site root cause analysis of performance deficiencies and troubleshoot issues in real time.
- Ensure suppliers correct discrepancies related to safety and construction immediately.
- Plan and execute daily and weekly site and supplier visits strategically to meet key targets and improve overall market performance.
Collaborate with Ericsson’s Senior Construction Managers and Project Management teams to :
Support customer meetings and site accessValidate construction drawingsFacilitate project completionIdentify, design, and develop process improvements for supplier construction processes.Work with automation teams to enhance Ericsson tools and drive efficiency and quality.Collaborate with FPAs in other markets to identify systemic issues and propose cross-market improvements.Collect and report supplier performance data to support process changes and new business cases.Build strong relationships with suppliers to foster continuous improvement and two-way feedback.Ensure supplier adherence to Ericsson and customer processes, methods, and tools.Provide feedback on Ericsson and customer-specific training to improve delivery performance via Site Tracker and Power BI metrics.Support quarterly Supplier Business Reviews (QBRs) by :

Minimum of 7+ years of relevant work or industry experienceBachelor’s degree preferredExperience providing design solutions and operational guidanceStrong knowledge of general construction processes and proceduresExperience managing and directing general contractors and suppliers (Civils, Ground, L&A, Backhaul, Maintenance Work)In-depth knowledge of Ericsson and customer construction / quality standardsExperience interfacing with customers, property owners, and stakeholdersStrong understanding of contracts (leasing, vendor, customer-facing) and financial acumenProven ability to build collaborative relationships with external partnersLeadership experience with a focus on performance improvementComprehensive understanding of applicable health and safety regulationsCompletion of OSHA 30-hour Telecommunications Industry courseExperience with Ericsson equipment portfolio is a plus
