The Corporate Controller is responsible for all statutory financial activities, SEC compliance, P&L, BS, and Cash flow management, monitoring corporate governance and internal controls, and establishing and overseeing financial policy and processes working closely with the CFO.
The role is a remote work arrangement and can be performed anywhere in the state of Florida, and, with prior approval, in other states in the Eastern time zone. The corporate office is in Clearwater, FL and candidates outside this area may have some overnight travel (minimal) to the corporate office. Communication and collaboration is key in this role so utilization of technology such as ZOOM or Teams will be required.
Requirements :
- Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior managers by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points;
- Guide financial decisions by applying company policies and procedures to current economic landscape;
- Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows;
- Maximize Finance’s efficiency through innovative process development;
- Help develop and support short- and long-term operational strategies;
- Lead cross-functional projects and serve as the liaison between the Finance, IT departments and 3rd party service providers driving improved communication and partnership;
- Oversee and support accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity;
- Oversee and manage external audit and external review;
- Oversight of SOX controls and external reporting; and
- Support ad hoc projects as assigned.

CPA with a Bachelor's degree in accounting, business or finance required;Experience with SEC filings, consolidated financial statements disclosures drafting and preparation required;5-7 years’ experience with a publicly traded company and / or Big 4 accounting firm required10 years’ experience managing an Accounting Department.Experience with Netsuite and advanced Excel skills required;Experience with Workiva’s wDesk preferred;COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS : The anticipated annual salary range for individuals expressing interest in this position is $170,000- $185,000. Actual compensation offered to a candidate may vary based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and / or skill levels.
