Position Summary :

The Civil / Structural Engineer will play a key role in supporting SCE's Pole Engineering division by performing advanced structural and line design analysis for transmission and distribution projects. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with design standards, mentoring junior engineers, and supporting field operations and restoration efforts.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities :

• Perform structural and line design analysis using PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, and PLS-Caisson , serving as a subject matter expert for modeling and analysis.
• Ensure quality assurance and safety compliance , adhering to SCE and site-specific standards.
• Design and review pole foundations for new installations and existing infrastructure evaluations.
• Support construction activities by coordinating with field teams, conducting inspections, and assisting with emergency restoration efforts (wildfires, storms, etc.).
• Maintain and update design specifications , collaborating with cross-functional engineering and operations teams.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to junior engineers and team members.
