BIM Coordinator

Exp Federal is an established, collaborative, and growing full service architectural and engineering firm that provides a full range of design solutions and construction support to the federal government. We are seeking a BIM Coordinator to join our growing team in Chicago, IL, Chantilly, VA, and Atlanta, GA. Ideal candidates are independent thinkers, self-motivated, communicate proactively, enjoy collaborating within and beyond project team, and thrive in a non-corporate environment and structure.

Key Responsibilities :

Utilize Revit and AutoCAD to generate drawings based on specific project requirements.
Preparation of construction documents, including specifications
Project initiation, setting up and establishing new projects with appropriate file structures and BIM standards to meet the clients' standards.
Management of model production and drawing production involving multiple disciplines
Advise and provide technical assistance to team members relating to BIM.
Ensure model and drawing quality control.

Minimum Qualifications :

Minimum of an associate degree in computer drafting and design, or, architectural or engineering technology, or a related degree.

Multidiscipline coordinating experience with process mechanical systems, electrical systems, civil infrastructure systems and structural systems.

Minimum four years of experience with 3D and parametric design and a functional understanding of building information modeling (BIM).

Minimum four years of experience utilizing Autodesk Revit software to produce architectural drawings.

Ability to utilize Autodesk Revit application to produce construction documents including floor plans, sections, callouts, 3D views, and schedules, in a timely fashion.

Autodesk Revit Certified Professional is preferred.

Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance if requested.

Salary Range : This position has an annual range of $80,000-$95,000. The actual annual rate is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
