Position Overview :
The Field Service Technician will install, replace, and perform routine and preventive maintenance on critical power systems that protect the electrical grid, support telecommunication infrastructures, and keep data center traffic flowing. Whether you are an experienced technician, a mechanic looking for a new opportunity, or someone who is technically or electrically inclined, this could be the perfect role for you!

The Field Service Technician reports to the Service Manager
Responsibilities / Accountabilities
- Install / replace battery systems, related accessories, and hardware
- Install / replace power electronics equipment / hardware, including wiring and connections
- Perform preventive maintenance and testing on battery and battery charging systems in UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supplies), Utility, and Telecommunication settings
- Attend and participate in safety training
- Adhere to all company and industry safety policies and procedures
- Adhere to applicable customer, industry, and manufacturer's maintenance / installation methods and standards
- Proper operation of basic tools and test equipment
- Proper operation of material handling equipment
- Supply and organize trucks with all equipment necessary to perform job functions
- Continually train and develop to advance Field Service Technician responsibilities
Skills / Knowledge
Basic electrical knowledge, or willingness to learnAbility to work with a range of tools, from wrenches to multimetersPossess troubleshooting skills and be able to effectively operate basic equipmentExcellent communication and customer service skillsEfficient in Microsoft Office softwarePersonal Attributes

Required travel to customer sites out of town for overnight and / or extended periods of timeQualifications :
