As a CNC Machinist Apprentice, you'll embark on a full time 40 hour, 9-to-12-month journey that combines classroom instruction at Cape Fear Community College with rotational, on-the-job training at GE Aerospace. Under the mentorship of seasoned professionals, you'll master the art of operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting CNC machinescritical tools in the production of high-quality aerospace components. Upon completion of this program, you will go straight into a Machinist position starting at $33.39 / hr plus $1 / hr shift differential.

What You'll Do

  • Exposure to band saws, drill presses, and hand tools.
  • Vo-tech training or coursework in machining, welding, auto mechanics, or electrical work.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
