Job Title : Data Center Specialist

Client : Japanese Bank

Working Location : Clifton, NJ

Working style : Onsite

Employment Type : Staffing (hourly pay)

Salary : $50 / hour

Working Hours : Mins 28 hours / per week : 4 days (6PM – 10PM (Mon-Fri)), 1day (9AM-5PM (Sat or Sun)) - Negotiable

Language : English

Period : 4-6 months (Starts mid-September at earliest)

Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and methodical  Data Center Infrastructure Analyst  to support the validation and update of DC Track data related to PDU replacements and cabling infrastructure. This role involves data extraction, comparison, physical audits that includes cable tracing, and system updates to ensure accurate and complete documentation of data center assets.

Key Responsibilities

1.  Physical Audit & Gap Resolution

  • Conduct visual inspections of data center cabinets to resolve data gaps.
  • Create and maintain a discrepancy list for tracking and resolution.
  • Perform final updates in DC Track based on audit findings.

2.  Cabling Validation

  • Physically trace and document copper and fiber cabling, patching information, and port usage.
  • Verify active port connections and update all relevant cabling data in DC Track.
  • Qualifications

  • Experience with DCIM tools (preferably DC Track or similar platforms).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in data comparison and validation.
  • Familiarity with data center infrastructure, including PDUs, cabling, and port mapping.
  • Ability to perform physical inspections in a data center environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel or other data manipulation tools.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • Preferred Skills

  • Experience in infrastructure asset management or data center operations.
  • Understanding of copper and fiber cabling standards.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
