Temporary Accounts Payable Specialist

A growing nonprofit in the Baltimore area seeks a qualified Accounts Payable Specialist on a temporary basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and process vendor invoices and employee expense reports.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts, ensuring accuracy in pricing, quantities, and terms.
• Enter invoices and payments into the accounting system in a timely manner.
• Prepare and process check runs, ACH transfers, and wire payments.
• Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date and resolve discrepancies with vendors.
• Reconcile vendor statements and research any outstanding balances or issues.
• Maintain organized and accurate accounts payable records and documentation.
• Assist with month-end closing by preparing accounts payable accruals and reports.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
• Support audits by providing requested documentation and reports.
