Position Overview :

Quality "Plus" Services is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Civil Estimator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in civil construction projects involving grading, drainage, base and paving, and underground utilities. This role requires strong skills in reading civil plans, preparing take-offs, and estimating projects independently using industry-leading software.

Key Responsibilities :

Review and interpret civil construction plans and specifications.

Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for projects including grading, drainage, base & paving, and underground utilities.

Perform quantity take-offs and earthwork estimating using Maxwell Systems, Viewpoint, or similar software.

Develop bids using HCSS Heavy Bid or comparable bidding programs.

Collaborate with project teams to understand project scope and objectives.

Identify potential risks and cost-saving opportunities in projects.

Manage multiple bids and deadlines with minimal supervision.

Stay updated on industry trends, labor rates, and material costs.

Qualifications :

Proven experience as a Civil Estimator in civil construction.

Proficient in reading and interpreting civil plans and specifications.

Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid, Maxwell Systems Estimation, Viewpoint, or similar estimating software.

Strong analytical and mathematical skills.

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects efficiently.

Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Knowledge of local codes and construction regulations.
