As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing visible presence in assigned areas. This driving post allows you to play an important role in supporting a welcoming environment for all visitors. You will interact with the public, respond to incidents as needed, and deliver exceptional customer service, all while upholding Allied Universal's values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity.

  • What You'll Do :
  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
  • Responsibilities :
  • Provide excellent customer service by following Allied Universal security-related procedures and site-specific policies while assisting visitors, tenants, and employees at the retail or mall location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using discretion and judgment based on the situation and site guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property and its perimeter, helping to deter unwanted activity and identifying potential issues within the retail or mall environment.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report unusual or suspicious activity.
  • Document and report security-related incidents and observations as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Support emergency response efforts as appropriate, communicating promptly with the necessary parties and following escalation procedures.
  • Maintain a visible Allied Universal presence to help to deter disruptive behavior and promote a welcoming environment for all visitors.

  • Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
  • A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
  • Minimum Requirements :
  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • This position is primarily a driving post.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
