Overview

We are seeking a skilled Consultant to support a secure enterprise environment focused on optimizing network access control and virtualization infrastructure. This role requires deep technical expertise across Cisco networking, VMware platforms, and automation frameworks to enhance security, compliance, and performance in a classified environment.

Core Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review, optimize, and secure Cisco ISE Client and 802.1X configurations across the enterprise.

Ensure seamless network authentication and access control for all endpoints within a classified infrastructure.

Develop, test, and refine Cisco Client and 802.1X authentication policies in full compliance with federal cybersecurity directives and task orders.

Integrate and maintain VMware virtual infrastructure components, ensuring reliable performance and compliance with DoD security requirements.

Automate provisioning, configuration, and policy enforcement using Terraform , Ansible , and GitLab pipelines .

Monitor and report on infrastructure health using SolarWinds and Aria Suite to ensure high availability and compliance.

Collaborate with security and network operations teams to support ongoing audits, hardening activities, and incident response readiness .

Qualifications

Active TS / SCI clearance (polygraph preferred)

Proven hands-on experience with Cisco ISE , vSphere , and network authentication protocols

Strong understanding of 802.1X , RADIUS , and TACACS+ integration

Experience with infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible, GitLab CI / CD)

Familiarity with DoD security compliance frameworks and STIG implementation

Excellent communication skills and the ability to operate effectively in a high-security, collaborative environment
