Ball Horticultural Company’s mission is to Color The World. We do this by developing, producing and selling seed around the globe. As an Account Manager, you will play a key role in creating information flow to support and expand sales of PanAmerican Seed Co. products by working with our distribution partners and building strong relationships with select key-grower accounts. This role is responsible for managing a sales territory identified by the Sales Director.
The primary responsibilities of the role are :
- Building and Maintaining Relationships : Develop strong relationships with distributor partners to ensure loyalty and collaboration.
- Achieving Sales Targets : Drive sales growth and meet revenue goals through effective account management.
- Strategic Planning : Develop and implement account strategies to maximize performance, with input into forecast and budget.
- Product Promotion and Training : Educate and train distributor teams on product features, benefits, and positioning.
- Negotiation and Contract Management : Negotiate terms, pricing, and agreements with distributors.
- Performance Monitoring : Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports.
- Represent PAS : attend marketing and trade events to include but not limited to; Spring Pack Trials, trade shows, field trials, advanced trial meetings and regional grower meetings showcasing PAS products.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams : Work closely with breeders, product managers, demand manager, marketing, and logistics teams to align strategies and provide product and industry intelligence.
Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in Horticultural field and / or a minimum of 3+ years’ experience in the horticultural industry preferably in account management, sales, or related field.Ability to travel 50% of time both domestic and internationally.Proven ability to communicate with all levels of an organization and demonstrated organization and follow-through skills.Self- motivated with ability to work as part of a team.Customer focus - Building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutionsCommunicates effectively - Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiencesCollaborates - Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectivesPlans and aligns- Planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goalsSalary Range : $90,000 to $125,000
