The Wayne County Area Agency on Aging (AAA), Transportation Department, is on the lookout for a Clerk 2 to enhance the mobility of our consumers by providing professional and accessible transportation in a safe, reliable, comfortable, and courteous manner. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this important role, your responsibilities will involve registering new consumers for transportation services and updating information for existing consumers. You will be expected to maintain knowledge of various transportation funding sources as you determine eligibility for consumers and accurately complete required forms. This position utilizes a computer and telephone to answer calls, make reservations, schedule trips, and appropriately route trips. Effective organizational skills are essential as you maintain electronic and written records ensuring files are updated, legible and complete. Developing and applying a good operational understanding of the Wayne County Transportation System is key for success in this role.
