OVERVIEW
The Senior Data Analyst will be part of the Data and Analytics organization supporting healthcare operations and customer experience initiatives. In this role, you will leverage data to deliver insights and solutions with measurable financial and experiential outcomes. You will work with an advanced data ecosystem to extract valuable insights, build analytical solutions, and support data-driven decision-making across the organization, with a focus on contact center operations and customer experience.
- Duration : 6+ months contract
- Location : Remote, but must reside in California, Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, Oregon, or Washington. Preference for West Coast. Working hours will be PST.
- Rate : $50 / hr - $70 / hr DOE
- Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship
RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyze structured and unstructured data to uncover pain points, establish causality, identify root causes, and recommend improvements for prioritizationBuild complex data sets linking various data sources to enable comprehensive analyticsDevelop and maintain data pipelines using dbt Cloud within a Snowflake environmentLead clinical data analysis initiatives to identify patterns and trends that impact healthcare operationsDesign and implement data ingestion processes with a strong focus on healthcare data requirementsAnalyze claims, dispute, and clinical data to identify optimization opportunities and support payer-side initiativesUse statistics and modeling to identify causes / drivers of call volume, call duration, and call experience metricsBuild reports and dashboards in Tableau to empower stakeholder decision makingPerform text mining / topic modeling to extract insights from verbatims, chats, and call transcriptsCollaborate with healthcare stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into data modelsSupport data quality initiatives and participate in data governance processesAssist with data migration projects and implementation of data observability platformsQUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in mathematics, computer science, statistics, engineering, health science, or related field5+ years of data analysis professional experience3+ years of experience in healthcare (managed care, academic, government payer, health systems, or health insurance)Demonstrated experience working with clinical data sets, including EHR data, lab results, and patient outcomesExperience with claims data analysis and dispute resolution data in healthcare settingsStrong understanding of healthcare data ingestion processes and requirementsStrong proficiency with SQL and experience with modern data platformsExperience with business intelligence tools, particularly TableauUnderstanding of data governance and data quality principles in healthcare contextsWorking experience with complex data sets and contact center knowledgeStrong understanding of healthcare data, including claims, clinical, provider, and member informationExperience with healthcare data standards and regulations (HIPAA, HITRUST, etc.)Preferred Qualifications :Proficiency in Python, Machine Learning and statistical modeling techniques
Experience with Snowflake and dbt Cloud for data transformationKnowledge of Data Vault methodology and data warehouse conceptsFamiliarity with cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud)Experience with tools such as Collibra for data governance and quality managementAdvanced skills in text analytics and transcript / review analysisExperience with contact center tools (Nuance, Avaya / Genesis, Verint / NICE, Five9)Experience with payer-side analytics, including claims adjudication systems and payment methodologiesKnowledge of healthcare payment models and claims processingExperience with clinical terminology standards (SNOMED, ICD-10, LOINC, etc.)Proficiency in agile methodology and tools like Confluence and JiraWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
