Job Duties
The ideal candidate for this position is a detail-oriented and team-driven professional with experience managing federal grant compliance. We are seeking someone who possesses strong skills in inclusive stakeholder management, collaborative work product development, and comprehensive grant management across federal, state, and private funding sources. Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate exceptional writing abilities, effective deadline management, and proven experience with grant applications.
This position will be responsible for Grants Management, Team Leading, Quality Assurance &Technical Assistance.
Grants Management
- Ensures all grant applications are submitted timely with accurate information.
- Ensures all levels of approval have been obtained prior to submitting all official federal reports.
- Serves as a liaison between the offices and the project officers for all budget related questions.
- Provides periodic reports to supervisor regarding program activities, resource issues and program outcomes.
- Monitors and tracks reporting requirements and assures requirements are fulfilled within established timeframes
Team Lead
Provides guidance and training to Grants SpecialistsDevelop processes and procedures to assure consistent and accurate practices within teamLeads efforts to assure consistent processes and practices are utilized and policies implemented throughout the team of Grants SpecialistsProvides policy interpretation and guidance to program managers and Grant Specialists on non-routine or complex mattersQuality Assurance & Technical Assistance
Guides and facilitates program managers in the development and preparation of grant proposals and agreements to assure compliance with applicable policies and proceduresMonitors compliance for assigned grants, assuring adherence to applicable policies and laws, processes and that grants are managed within established timelines and budget requirementsProvides consultation to program managers on best practices and grant complianceReviews proposals for correct format and compliance requirements.Minimum Qualifications
Considerable knowledge of federal / state grants and contracts management laws, rules, regulations and guidelines and of generally accepted accounting principles and practices.Knowledge of budgeting policies, procedures and practices; contract law; auditing standards; computer programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access.Experience with relational data bases and automated financial systems. Demonstrated analytical skills, proficiency in problem solving, organizing and coordinating.Demonstrated ability to read and interpret grants, contracts and MOAs; to prepare budgets and monitor fiscal transactions, provide technical assistance on complex issues, negotiate effectively and compile financial information and projections.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Ability to lead technical staff, organize and prioritize work and work within deadlines.Additional Considerations
