Sr. Software Development Engineer In Test (SDET) iOS & Android

We're looking for a seasoned SDET with strong experience in mobile automation (iOS and Android), performance testing, and release management to join Tinder's QA Engineering team. You will build scalable, reliable test automation frameworks and ensure high-quality releases that reach millions of users worldwide. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and wants to make a tangible impact on Tinder's mobile experience.

Where you'll work :

This is a hybrid role and requires in-office collaboration three days per week. This position is located in Los Angeles.

In this role, you will :

• Design and maintain automation frameworks for iOS & Android apps using WebdriverIO + Appium.
• Develop API and integration tests using TypeScript, Axios, Mocha, and Chai.
• Implement and monitor performance test plans for mobile and backend systems.
• Work closely with Release Managers to validate builds, support phased rollouts, and streamline hotfix verification.
• Generate actionable insights through Allure and other reporting tools integrated with CI pipelines.
• Participate in sprint rituals, advocate for testability, and contribute to product readiness assessments.
• Collaborate with QA Analysts, Developers, PMs, and Designers to identify risk areas and ensure end-to-end test coverage.
• Monitor post-release quality signals and support RCA for production incidents.
• Coordinate cross-team testing alignment during weekly releases and urgent hotfix cycles.

160,000 - $200,000 a year

The salary range for this position is $160,000 - $200,000. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education / training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary range is reflective of a position based in Los Angeles, CA. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
