Responsible for supporting the Collateral Services department by verifying the eligibility of collateral pledged to the Bank as security for Member obligations, in accordance with applicable regulations, policies, and Bank standards. Conducts analysis related to collateral verification and property inspections, ensuring compliance with established procedures.
The candidate should have experience in Commercial and Mortgage Real Estate Underwriting, Commercial Loan Officer, and / or Commercial Banking, for a contract until December 31st, with potential for extension.
Primary Responsibilities
- Review and analyze loan documentation for collateral pledged under blanket lien or delivered to the Bank’s vault, including appraisal reports, mortgage notes, deeds of trust, assumption agreements, and title policies, to confirm the Bank’s ability to perfect a security interest in the event of default.
- Provide assistance to member institutions regarding collateral status and eligibility for custody, Held-for-Sale / Warehouse programs, and listing collateral.
- Analyze, review, and assign value to pledged assets based on member loan files.
- Support the maintenance and testing of collateral department applications and related Bank systems.
- Oversee daily operations of the Held-for-Sale / Warehouse program, including monitoring, updates, and quarterly onsite collateral verifications in line with Bank policies and procedures.
- Prepare and maintain reports and analyses related to collateral verifications, valuations, UCC filings, Interagency Guidance, and property inspections.
