Senior Accountant, Corporate

Scope of leadership role

The Senior Accountant is an important member of the Corporate Accounting Department. This role will be a key partner to the Corporate Accounting Manager during the daily activities in the department by analyzing transactions, preparing journal entries and maintaining account reconciliations. This position will also be responsible for management of the holding companies as well as intercompany reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepares, records and tracks journal entries and general ledger reconciliations including cash, dividends, debt, and intercompany loans. May review account reconciliations performed by other team members.
• Serves as the lead team member for intercompany balancing and works to identify and reconcile intercompany balances with global partners.
• Supports the monthly corporate close, including preparation and review of balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Consolidates and verifies financial data from business groups and identifies and investigates irregularities.
• Responds to business unit questions regarding accounting policies or implications and provides guidance and support to the finance teams.
• Provides data as requested to internal and external auditors for the corporate accounting group.
• Provides back up for the Corporate Accounting Manager with Hyperion loads and final Hyperion consolidations.
• Works with corporate accounting team to streamline and improve current accounting processes to facilitate the month end close and reconciliation processes.
• Performs tasks in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

Compensation Details :

$77,900 - $116,600

The salary range provided is intended to display the value of the company's base pay compensation for all statewide locations across the United States. Salary is dependent on a multitude of factors, including but not limited to the physical worksite location, candidate's skill set, level of experience, education and internal peer compensation comparisons.
