Responsibilities

Addictions Counselor

The Addictions Counselor provides quality direct and indirect patient care to individuals with chemical dependency. Maintains accurate program and patient documentation, including medical record, develops and implements a plan of treatment, in conjunction with members of multi-disciplinary team, conducts groups, Communicates with referral sources and other appropriate parties regarding patients' progress, Coordinates patients' discharge planning and implementation.

Qualifications

Education : Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related mental health field.

Lincensure : LADAC Licensed Alcohol Drug Abuse Counselor and / or CADC Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor

Experience : Minimum of two (2) years experience in a psychiatric health care facility with direct experience in individual, family and group therapies. Experience in crisis intervention is desired. Must have strong clinical assessment skills.
