Assistant Security Manager
Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley is currently looking for an Assistant Security Manager.
Essential function of the job :
- Project an image of friendliness, professionalism and willingness to provide personalized services to all building occupants, workers, and neighbors, whether over the phone or in person.
- Honor the guest, employee, and hotel confidentiality policy.
- Act as a liaison with all law enforcement agencies, city and federal agencies and hotel associations.
- Ensure the protection of guests, patrons and associates; their property, hotel property, building and grounds. Enforce hotel rules, regulations and policies as well as the departments rules, policies and standards.
- Provide assistance on ground level entrances to ensure smooth pedestrian and vehicular traffic while promoting a welcoming and helpful environment.
- Promote safety awareness and enforcement throughout the hotel to reduce accidents and loss by providing training as required. Initiate and assist with Worker's Compensation reports.
- Patrol building noting and correcting safety, security, and fire hazards.
- Respond properly in any hotel emergency safety situation.
- Manage and supervise the day-to-day Security team of the property to ensure the safety and security of all guests, personnel and property.
- Assist in implementing all policies and procedures regarding security and safety.
- Assist in select, train, schedule, discipline and direct officers in all aspects of security policies and procedures.
- Assist training manager with training in fire life safety, OSHA required training, TIPS, BBP, Haz-Com, and other safety training.
- Assist the Lead With Care Committee by organizing a monthly meeting and ensure the property is on track to meet all LWC annual goals
- Remain informed of current Federal and local laws and regulations as they relate to the hotel, particularly in areas of guest, patron and employee rights.
- Write comprehensive incident reports and conducts through investigations. Maintain report records, assist and follow-up on investigations, and approve reports and logs. Initiates and assists General liability reports. Promotes loss prevention through training and awareness throughout the building to reduce claims.
- Respond to all emergency call including Emergency Response Team calls. Will assist in the Fire Command Center when needed. Display complete knowledge of the Fire / Life System and all support systems, their functions and emergency response procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Additional Job Description :
3-5 years previous experience in a Security Officer or Supervisor position is required.Experience reporting, investigating, and documenting work-related accidents and incidents including guest and employee loss in an objective and comprehensive manner.CPR certified (certified trainer preferred).A passion for teaching and training staff is preferred.The ability to stand and walk continuously during shiftsRequires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.Must be flexible with schedule Able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, and eveningsMust provide work authorization document - proof of eligibility to work in the United States of AmericaWhat to Expect :
