Genesis10 is currently seeking a Network / System Engineer with our client in the financial industry located in Chandler, AZ. This is a 12+ month contract position.

Responsibilities :

  • Ensure the applications are available all the time (always ON) and respond to reports of application being down
  • Understand the architecture of the applications, maintain recovery procedures, maintain proper monitoring, up to date patches, documentation, etc.
  • Follow our incident management procedures to triage production incident and work with various teams within the client to facilitate always ON model of the application availability

Requirements :

  • At least 5 years of some experience with developing / supporting .NET / Java applications / Angular applications
  • Proficient in writing queries in SQL server 2012+ / Oracle 11g+
  • Experience with OpenShift / Docker / other container technology
  • Ability to investigate apps hosted on IIS / Windows server
  • Ability to investigate apps hosted on Apache / Tomcat / Linux server
  • Ability to query Splunk / Dynatrace / other monitoring tool as part of investigating an issue
  • Experience reading and interpreting log files / windows event viewer logs / System.out, etc. to investigate issues
  • Ability to use analytical skills to debug technology stack and solve problems
  • Willingness to learn and adapt quickly
  • Resourcefulness and thinking on the feet
  • Good communication skills
  • Demonstrates critical thinking, good analytical skills, and a self-motivated personality to debug and solve problems

    • Desired skills :

  • Experience with MongoDB / Postgress / Redis
  • Basic understanding of load balancing / HTTP concepts
  • BMC Remedy ITSM experience

    • Pay Range : $60.24-$68.24
