As part of our Manufacturing team youll help build the world-class state-of-the-art smart vehicles were known our plants around the world were constantly developing new technologies and processes to further increase our efficiency. These talented employees have the title of Production Supervisor MP&L and are the drivers of standardization and continuous improvement in the Ford Production System. Material Planning & Logistics teams work to provide

a synchronous flow of materials to customers at an affordable cost.

Responsibilities

What youll do...

Monitor Safety and Compliance

Lead Quality initiatives

Facilitate Shift Briefings / Kickoff Meetings

Supervise evaluate and empower an hourly team that produces manufactured products and organize workflow to meet quality and daily productivity requirements

Walk the Floor (Gemba Walk) to ensure safety quality and productivity objectives are met through coaching standardized work verifying lines are running safely smoothly and producing quality parts

Manage Workflow Optimization

Drive continuous improvement to exceed personal team Company goals by holding self & team to high performance standards through servant leadership as we drive for success

Build strong interpersonal relationships with hourly team members union and management teams

Qualifications

Youll have...

High School Diploma or GED

2 years of supervisory and manufacturing experience

Working knowledge in Microsoft : Excel Word PowerPoint and Outlook

Ability to work rotating shifts and hours including nights and weekends

Required Behaviors

Demonstrate the ability to lead with integrity while following

Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism in difficult and stressful situations

Two-way communicator who actively listens to hourly team members leaders business partners and customers

Highly committed to continuous improvement while applying innovative solutions with a customer first mindset

Administer the CBA (collective bargaining agreement) consistently and effectively

Ability to work weekends and rotate shifts as required by the business

Even better you may have...

Bachelors Degree

Logistics and / or material handling experience

Knowledge of CMMS

Knowledge of constraint management principles

Prior experience managing a unionized workforce
