THE POSITION : The Audio Technician is responsible for working the sound board during masses and other parish events, producing live recordings, setting up equipment for weekend and special Masses (and striking afterwards), managing the sound team and equipment, recruiting and training new volunteers, and ensuring the best audio quality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES : Essential duties and responsibilities of the Audio Technician include :

• 1-2 weekly Masses (Sunday morning) and other special Masses throughout the year as needed
• Set up and strike the mics for masses as needed
• Keep the sound room organized
• Maintain inventory of equipment and fix or request approval to replace damaged items
• Run the Sound Board
• Mix down, and in a timely fashion, email homilies (weekly) and music recordings (special events)
• Work sound for special parish masses and events, such as weekday (evening) Masses on church feasts and holidays, and annual parish festivals
• Provide a clear mix during services to both the pews and the musicians
• Ability to work well with clergy, staff, and team of volunteers
• Perform any other duties or special projects assigned by direct supervisors and priests
