Responsible for evaluation and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders affecting speech, voice, language and swallowing abilities in adults and pediatric patients. In the acute care setting, provide evaluations and recommendations for patient's candidacy for PO diet or need for non-oral nutritional support as well as assisting in speech and language screenings and recommendations for discharge needs. In the out patient setting, carry a varied caseload including : pediatric speech and language disorders, voice disorders, professional voice care, augmentative communication evaluations, alaryngeal speech training, dysphagia, aphasia and dysarthria.
