Commercial Underwriter

A company is looking for a Commercial Underwriter I to work remotely.

Key Responsibilities

Complete underwriting trainings and shadow experienced underwriters to learn risk appetite and develop agency relationships

Evaluate basic accounts for risk selection and pricing, and analyze relevant data to underwrite policies

Communicate with agents, provide updates on accounts, and collaborate with marketing representatives to enhance customer experience

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in insurance or business administration, or equivalent relevant experience

Preferred insurance designations, such as CPCU

Basic knowledge of underwriting and risk analysis

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Good computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office
