Job Description :

Microchip Technology Colorado Springs Equipment Engineering Services Department has an opening for an Equipment Engineering Team member. Duties will include assisting current equipment engineers and technicians to meet Fab 5 manufacturing goals of timely shipment of high quality and low-cost product in a safe environment.

Essential Functions to include :

Manage specific toolsets as assigned.

• Ensure safe environment for staff.
• Become tool expert work PMs and down tools during staff storages.
• Improve / maintain uptime. Pareto downtime drive toward running from PM to PM.
• Provide technical direction and assist with difficult down tool situations.
• Arrange vendor support if needed.
• Manage spare part inventory.
• Repair obsolete component or find / qualify replacements.
• Write / update PM procedures.
• Ensure good communications between the shifts.
• Implement cost reductions.

Support continuous improvement projects and process engineering projects.

Functional area support.

Requirements / Qualifications :

BS in engineering or equivalent technical degree minimum

The annual base salary range for this position which could be performed in Colorado is $75-85k.
