Texas Veterans and Family Alliance Program
Under the direction and supervision of the Veterans One Stop Counseling Program Director provides services to veterans and their family members including assessment, treatment planning, skills training, psychosocial rehabilitation, case coordination, crisis intervention and referrals. Case Manager will maintain required documentation per community standards for Mental Health Community Services, as well as client and program records in accordance with applicable standards and regulations, grant requirements, etc.
Experience and Training :
- Bachelor’s or master's degree from an accredited college or university in a human service related field (e.g. social work, educational counseling, gerontology, psychology, or sociology.
- Two years of casework experience preferred.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain credentialing as a Qualified Mental Health Professional through training and competency evaluations for employment in this position.

Assists clients with navigating systemsOffer referrals for resourcesProvide advocacy with delivery of systemsDeliver life skills training or psychosocial rehabilitationProvide continuity of care ensuring that client needs are metSchedule individual and group sessions as neededBuilds relationships with local community agencies for referral purposesProvides crisis support counselingas deemed necessaryProvide care coordination closing the loop on referrals to community-based providersPrepares progress notes and other required documentation.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
General knowledge of mental illness, rehabilitative skills training methods and knowledge of community resources.Ability to conduct interviews and report results of the interviews.Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with other professional groups, businesses, employment agencies, etc.Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written formats of communication.Ability to meet grant / contract timeframes and obligations and to organized and prioritize work related tasks.Must have and maintain a level of general health that permits the performance of the job duties.Must be able to successfully participate, perform, and complete skills required for CPR, First Aid, and PMABcertification.Hours : Mon-Fri 8am-5pm with some after hours and weekends.
Salary : $45,000-$52,965 DOE
