The Trailer Control Coordinator is responsible for managing trailer inventory, tracking trailer movements, coordinating equipment assignments, and ensuring timely communication with carriers and customers.

What will I do?

  • Monitor and manage yard inventory across multiple locations
  • Track and trace trailer movements throughout the supply chain
  • Assign empty trailers to customers and internal coordinators based on availability and demand
  • Conduct regular yard checks and ensure accurate equipment status records
  • Identify and report red-tagged (out-of-service or flagged) trailers
  • Review transportation management system (TMS) data to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Coordinate inbound trailer deliveries and local trailer movements
  • Maintain ongoing communication with carriers to support equipment needs and scheduling
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports for internal teams and customers
  • Position requirements :

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Previous experience in logistics, transportation, or equipment coordination is required.
