Robert Half is seeking an experienced and motivated Construction Project Manager for a dynamic organization in Suffolk County, New York. The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing all phases of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and according to the specified quality standards. This includes managing schedules, budgets, subcontractor / vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Oversee all aspects of assigned construction projects from initiation to completion, including managing timelines, budgets, and resources.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to define project scopes and align expectations.
  • Develop and manage schedules using project management tools, ensuring timely delivery of milestones.
  • Monitor project budgets, approve expenditures, and resolve issues that may impact financial performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all local and state construction regulations, including obtaining necessary permits.
  • Perform risk assessments and implement proactive solutions to minimize delays or disruptions.
  • Provide leadership to construction teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and open communication.
  • Maintain documentation related to project progress and generate regular updates for stakeholders.
  • Analyze and mitigate operational challenges to maintain high-quality project standards.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience (2+ years) as a Construction Project Manager, preferably in large-scale residential or commercial projects within Suffolk County or similar regions.
  • Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.
  • Strong understanding of construction practices, methodologies, and regulations, including OSHA standards.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients and teams effectively.
  • Highly organized with solid decision-making abilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites across Suffolk County.
