Position Title : Cage Manager

Location : Reno, NV

Salary : $40,000+ DOE

Employment Type : Full-Time | Onsite

Gaming Card Required (can be obtained upon offer)

Training Program : 3 Weeks Paid Training Upon Hire

Position Overview :

A high-integrity, detail-obsessed Cage Manager is needed to lead cage operations in a fast-paced, high-risk environment. This person will play a critical role in fraud prevention, check verification, and financial controls , while ensuring seamless cash handling, team supervision, and guest transactions.

Exceptional communication and extreme attention to detail are non-negotiable for this role. The ideal candidate is proactive, trustworthy, and highly focused on identifying discrepancies and preventing financial loss—particularly related to counterfeit or fraudulent checks.

Key Responsibilities :

Fraud Prevention & Verification

Accurately review, validate, and identify counterfeit or fraudulent checks using approved detection methods and tools.

Uphold strict compliance standards to prevent losses—this role is directly tied to mitigating tens of thousands of dollars in check fraud per month.

Enforce policies and procedures for secure transactions and daily reconciliation.

Cage Operations Management

Oversee all daily cage functions including cash flow, electronic deposits, check processing, and credit issuance.

Ensure accuracy in balancing drawers, vault audits, cash drops, and shift reports.

Maintain logs and documentation for all cage activity, ensuring full audit readiness.

Team Leadership & Training

Supervise cage team members, ensuring proper training and execution of responsibilities.

Provide support, coaching, and accountability to staff to maintain high-performance standards.

Lead by example in delivering top-tier customer service and strict adherence to compliance.

Internal Controls & Compliance

Uphold all local, state, and gaming regulations and internal company policies.

Work closely with the accounting and security teams to report suspicious activity and reconcile discrepancies.

Ensure secure storage and handling of cash, chips, and sensitive documents.

Communication & Coordination

Serve as the primary point of contact between cage operations and other departments.

Communicate clearly and confidently with staff, supervisors, security, accounting, and leadership.

Participate in ongoing fraud prevention and operational meetings.

Required Qualifications :

Minimum 2+ years in a cage, bank teller, cash office, or similar high-volume cash handling role (management or lead preferred).

Exceptional attention to detail — must be able to detect forged checks, fraudulent patterns, or inconsistencies quickly and accurately.

Strong interpersonal and clear verbal communication skills — must be comfortable directing staff and coordinating across departments.

Proficient with POS systems, check verification tools, and basic computer software.

Ability to pass a background check and obtain a Nevada Gaming Card before starting.

High level of integrity, trustworthiness, and accountability.

Willingness to complete a 3-week training program to learn proprietary systems and fraud-prevention protocols.

Work Environment & Schedule :

Full-time onsite role, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.

Standing for extended periods and working in a high-security, monitored environment is expected.
