About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Lending Officer to lead the reimagining of lending products, services, and experiences in line with the evolving needs of its growing membership. The successful candidate will be a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for crafting and executing a progressive lending strategy that fosters growth, safety, and innovation. This role involves directing all lending activities, managing staff performance, and ensuring that the lending function enhances the members' experience. The ideal CLO will have a solid understanding of various lending aspects, including consumer, mortgage, commercial, and collections, and must be adept at leadership and sound decision-making. Candidates for the Chief Lending Officer position at the company should have a minimum of 7-10 years' experience in creating and interpreting lending policies and procedures, with a strong understanding of lending regulations and underwriting guidelines. A bachelor's degree is required, and while credit union experience is preferred, a background in a financial institution is essential. The role demands a leader who can hit the ground running, with a proven track record in lending and a focus on serving diverse and marginalized populations. The CLO will also be involved in strategic planning and will work closely with the CEO and other leaders to ensure the delivery of the best member experience.
