Senior Property Accountant

What You’ll Do :

Partner with the Accounting Manager to prepare and distribute timely, accurate monthly financial statements

Review and resolve discrepancies in financial entries, documents, and reports to ensure consistency and accuracy

Provide thoughtful guidance on accounting treatment for capital expenditures and other asset-related transactions

Maintain and analyze daily subsidiary accounts to ensure integrity of financial data

Complete monthly reconciliations of cash and balance sheet accounts

Contribute to the annual budgeting process and support strategic financial planning

Work with external auditors to support annual reviews and audits

Participate in special projects that drive process improvement and financial insight

Serve as a mentor and resource to junior accounting staff

What You Bring :

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

3+ years of hands-on experience in property or real estate accounting

Solid understanding of GAAP and real estate financial reporting standards

Proficiency in accounting platforms such as Yardi, MRI, or similar

Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with reporting tools

Strong analytical skills and a passion for digging into the details

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills—you’re confident working with colleagues at all levels of the business
