Vice President Of Engineering

TelevisaUnivision is seeking a dynamic Vice President of Engineering to lead the development and scaling of our next-generation advertising technology platform. This executive will own the engineering strategy, execution, and delivery of full-stack ad tech products while managing and growing offshore engineering teams. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in ad technology, strong full-stack technical acumen, and proven leadership experience managing distributed engineering organizations. This role will be based in NY and report into the Advanced Advertising Product group.

Job Responsibilities

Technology Leadership

Define the engineering vision, strategy, and roadmap for the TelevisaUnivision's advertising technology platform.

Own the architecture and design of scalable, high-performance systems that support large-scale data ingestion, transformation, analytics, and machine learning.

Drive adoption of modern data and AI frameworks to enable real-time bidding, targeting, optimization, and measurement.

Drive architecture, design, and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance full-stack systems (front-end, back-end, cloud infrastructure).

Oversee UI and UX engineering efforts, ensuring the platform delivers intuitive, high-performing, and user-friendly experiences.

Stay ahead of industry trends in programmatic advertising, data platforms, identity, and measurement to inform product direction.

Build and scale data and AI pipelines for ingestion, matching, deduplication, and reporting of VideoAmp, Nielsen, and other third-party datasets.

Ensure the platform supports cross-channel measurement, attribution, and campaign optimization using syndicated and proprietary data.

Team & People Management

Lead, mentor, and scale a distributed engineering team, with a strong focus on offshore development resources.

Build a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement across all engineering teams.

Establish best practices in Agile / Scrum delivery, code quality, testing, and release management.

Execution & Delivery

Oversee all software development cycles : requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

Partner closely with Product, Data, and Business teams to translate business goals into technical deliverables.

Ensure timely delivery of high-quality products with strong uptime, scalability, and performance metrics.

Operational Excellence

Manage engineering budgets, vendor relationships, and resource allocation.

Implement KPIs and performance tracking for engineering efficiency, velocity, and quality.

Champion security, compliance, and data privacy best practices across systems.

Qualifications

Experience

12+ years in software engineering, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role.

Proven success building and scaling ad technology systems (DSPs, SSPs, Ad Servers, Identity solutions, Measurement platforms, etc.).

Strong experience managing offshore engineering teams and distributed organizations.

Strong background in data engineering and architecture, including large-scale data pipelines, real-time streaming (Kafka, Flink, Spark), and cloud-native platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure). Familiarity with ML Ops and AI infrastructure for scaling and maintaining models.

Full-stack background including modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue) and a deep appreciation for UX / UI principles.

Skills & Leadership

Strong understanding of programmatic advertising ecosystem, data pipelines, and real-time bidding (RTB) systems.

Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to balance strategic planning with hands‑on problem solving.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in high‑growth startup or scale‑up environments.

Background in machine learning, big data, or identity resolution.

Track record of building enterprise‑grade SaaS platforms.

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Salary Range

$210,000-275,000 + Bonus + Benefits. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
