About The Role

Flex is seeking a strategic and hands-on Senior Director of Risk Management to build and scale the capabilities that keep our fast-growing business resilient. This high-impact role goes beyond frameworks and policies; it’s about creating the systems, processes, and culture that help Flex identify, manage, and get ahead of risk across our operations, partners, and strategic initiatives.

You’ll report directly to the Chief Compliance Officer and collaborate closely with leaders across Legal, Security, Finance, and Product. Your work will shape how Flex balances innovation with discipline, ensuring we scale responsibly, make smarter decisions, and strengthen enterprise resilience along the way.

This is a foundational leadership opportunity for someone ready to build, influence, and drive meaningful impact across one of the most dynamic fintech ecosystems in the market.

This is a hybrid position with on-site expectations of 3 days per week in our New York or SF Headquarters. For candidates outside of the NY / NJ / SF area, relocation assistance may be eligible.

What You Will Do

• Build and Evolve Risk Capabilities : Develop and continuously improve the frameworks, tools, and rhythms that help Flex identify, assess, and mitigate key risks, from operational challenges to vendor dependencies to strategic initiatives.
• Embed Risk Thinking Across the Business : Partner cross-functionally to integrate risk awareness into everyday decisions. Influence teams to think proactively about resilience, readiness, and responsible growth.
• Drive Execution and Accountability : Don’t just identify risks, own them. Push for practical solutions, track progress, and ensure mitigation plans translate into real, measurable impact.
• Lead Core Risk Activities : Oversee critical programs such as risk assessments, incident reviews, control testing, issue tracking, and executive reporting, bringing structure, consistency, and transparency to Flex’s risk posture.
• Communicate with Impact : Deliver clear, actionable insights to senior leadership. Simplify complex issues and surface what matters most to drive smarter, faster decisions.
• Strengthen Organizational Resilience : Enhance business continuity, vendor oversight, and operational response processes to ensure Flex can anticipate, absorb, and adapt to disruptions with confidence.

The compensation range for this role will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and Flex's internal leveling guidelines and benchmarks.

For working locations in NY / NJ / CA, the base salary pay range will be $283,000 - $312,000.

For all other states, the base salary pay range will be $255,000 - $281,000.
