Academic Advisor & Undergraduate Program Coordinator
Baylor University is seeking a dedicated Academic Advisor & Undergraduate Program Coordinator to join the School of Music. A Bachelor's degree and one year of relevant work experience is required. A Master's degree and two years of relevant work experience is preferred.

What You Will Do
Advise current and prospective students in individual and group settings (i.e. music majors, secondary majors, and music minors)Monitoring their progress toward degree completionMonitor academic progress of all students and handle academic actions related to probation, suspension, and reinstatement of students each semesterAssist with New Student Orientation in coordination with other key SOM personnel who help coordinate student matriculationHold graduation planning meetings with undergraduate music students one year prior to graduationEnsure current university policies and deadlines are met by the School of Music (i.e. registration, add / drop, etc.)Process undergraduate program curricular changes, which include curriculum proposals and updates to the course catalogProcess and submit scholarship award letters and scholarship reduction / removal letterAssist with maintaining undergraduate student handbook and faculty / staff handbook and related portions of the SOM websiteMaintain undergraduate student records. Keep accurate and complete program and student records from admissions through graduation clearance including scholarship status, demographic and career history (i.e. program assessment, accreditation, etc...)Assist with reports for annual undergraduate program assessment for SACS, HEADS, and accreditationAssist the Assistant Dean for Enrollment and Student Success with information and data collection projects as neededCommunicate on a regular basis about undergraduate courses, majors, degree requirements, and policies / procedures with students and facultyMusic Education program support, including the coordination of clinical teacher placements, the distribution of BME placement lists, assisting faculty with the BME evaluation process, the organization of BME fieldwork documentation, management of the admission process into the Teacher Education Program, and the maintenance of BME student recordsPerform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's missionAbility to comply with university policiesMaintain regular and punctual attendanceWhat You Can Expect
