Job Description
Maintains a database by manually entering new data and / or updating information.
Data Entry Clerk Job Duties :
- Prepares source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information; establishing entry priorities
- Processes documents by reviewing data for deficiencies; resolving discrepancies by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team leader for resolution
- Enters data by inputting alphabetic and numeric information on keyboard and / or optical scanner
- Maintains data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures
- Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes
- Maintains confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Qualifications
At least 2 years of Data Entry Clerk experienceAbility to achieve and sustain an average keyboarding rate of at least 8000 KSPHAbility to achieve and sustain a High Accuracy Rate on data entered or modifiedProficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook highly desired
